The new y3k (Wally 100.03) was christened in Ancona today following very successful sea-trials in admittedly light winds. The Hall Spars rig seems very sturdy and with the Future fibers standing rigging is a great package.
Congratulations to the owner.

WY 164 Fairing
No time to waste this year we were lucky to start with a visit to Hall Spars in Rhode Island. The willingness to work with new ideas, quality of carbon and seamless tubes is spectacular. Thanks to project manager Henry MaxwellThe Wally 164 is being faired in sections using a new method by Ian Armstrong as tested on Maltese Falcon. Reports are good both for initial quality and longevity, we shall see.
